This intarsia colourwork sweater gets its name from Nubian Queen, a term used to describe a beautiful black woman. Nubian Queens come in a variety of shapes and sizes (from slender to curvy) and the Nubian Queen pullover is a celebration garment - with its unapologetic strong bold colours - designed to be worn by all women.

Nubian Queen is a long, oversized sweater knitted in Aran weight yarn. It is worked in pieces: back, front and two sleeves. The pieces are worked from the ribbed bottom edging up. The colourwork front piece is knitted using the intarsia method and worked by following the chart. The neckband is worked directly by picking up stitches from the neck edge after the pieces are seamed.
